4.75 Lakh E-Tokens Issued by Delhi Government to Buy Liquor
4.75 lakh e-tokens have been issued by the Delhi government so far to buy liquor in the national capital. Under this system, customers are allotted a fixed time to purchase liquor. This would eliminate the violation of social distancing norm due to people queuing up outside liquor stores.
People not following social distancing norms gave birth to this system in which an e-ticket is sent to the phones of registered people.
About 200 liquor shops are currently operating in Delhi.
“The government has so far issued around 4.75 lakh e-token since Thursday evening to people to buy liquor without standing in long queues,” the official said.
People can get an e-token by going to www.qtoken.in and filling their personal details such as mobile number along with the address of the nearest liquor shop. They are then allotted a specific time to purchase.
The officials claim that this system is implementing the social distancing norm properly and is also reducing the waiting time for the buyers.
