Bharti Airtel to spend Rs 7500 crore on Nokia to improve Internet Sector of India
Nokia is all set to lay the foundation for providing 5G network in India across 9 circles by laying 300,000 radio networks. This will lay the foundation of 5G network in India to provide a smooth and faster internet access to Indians.
To deploy a 4G network solutions across nine circles, telecom gear maker Nokia has bagged around Rs 7500-crore from Bharti Airtel to help boost network capacity and improve the customer experience.
This multi-year agreement to deploy Nokia’s Single Radio Access Network (SRAN) solution across nine circles in India will help Airtel boost network capacity, particularly 4G, to improve experiences provided to customers.
Sources claim that the size of the deal is approximately Rs 7500 crore.
Bharti Airtel issued a statement which said that the rollout will lay the foundation of 5G connectivity for future. Approximately 300,000 radio units will be deployed across numerous spectrum bands, which include 900 Mhz, 1800 Mhz, 2100 Mhz and 2300 Mhz. This project is expected to be completed by 2022.
