Seven out of ten firms face a loss of Rs78,127 crore in mcap; HDFC Bank takes a major hit
Out of a total of ten most prominent companies in the domestic circuit, seven faced a loss of approximately Rs 78,127.74 crore as per5 market valuation the previous week. Out of the lot, HDFC bank faced the most major hit.
Only Reliance Industries Limited, Hindustan Unilever Limited(HUL) and HDFC managed to end the week with gains.
The market valuation of HDFC Bank dropped from Rs 28,391.71 crore to Rs 5,39,305.38 crore.
Similarly, the market valuation of companies like Bharti Airtel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank, ITC, Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services(TCS) dropped by several notches.
On the other hand the market valuation of RIL increased from Rs 5,198.31 crore to Rs 10,07,204.41 crore. HDFC’s valuation stood at Rs 3,10,486.85 crore and Hindustan Unilever Limited closed at a value of Rs 4,94,862.23 crore.
The BSE Sensex saw a dip of 1.47 percent for the week that culminated on Friday.
